Since 1 July 2013 it is easier to employ Croatian citizens in Poland due to Croatia’s accession to the European Union. Poland decided not to implement temporary restriction in relation to the free movement of persons. That is why Article 45 and the first paragraph of Article 56 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union (OJ of the UE C 326/3) ensuring freedom of movement of workers within European Union will be applicable to the employees from Croatia. Because of that employers may employ citizens from that Balkan country almost without obstacles. Croatian citizen who would like to work in Poland has to remember to register his/her place of residence in the competent municipal office and register his/her staying in the competent voivodship office.
