Holiday leave and release from obligation to perform work during notice period - what can the employer do?

During the termination notice period, employer may oblige the employee to use holiday leave due to the employee. After full utilization of the leave, employers often release employees from obligation to perform work. Such decision should be preceded by a detailed analysis of the employer's needs, as sometimes performance of work by a given employee may be necessary during the notice period.
